Chapter 01
Exclusion is not extermination
RGS does not trap animals and does not put down poison. What gets sealed is the building envelope itself: the gaps around pipes and framing, the vents, the crawl space skirting, wherever something has been getting in and out.
That is the whole method. Once the way in is gone, whatever was living in the crawl space or the attic does not come back, and neither does the next one looking for the same opening.

Crawl space rodent exclusion
Rodent exclusion is one of the confirmed lines on RGS's own crawl space work, alongside the insulation, the vapor barrier and the air sealing. It usually turns up the same way the rest of a crawl space problem turns up: an inspector on his back, looking at what a homeowner cannot see from the hatch.
A torn vapor barrier or a gap at the skirting reads as an insulation problem until somebody is actually down there. Sealing it is part of the same visit as the insulation work, not a separate call.
Chapter 03
Attic exclusion: rat, bat, bird, raccoon and opossum
Rat, bat, bird, raccoon and opossum exclusion for attics is confirmed on RGS's own attic insulation work too. Attics get in through soffit and gable vents, gaps at the roofline, anywhere the wood has gapped or rotted enough to leave an opening.
Same method as the crawl space: find where they are getting in, close it, and check the rest of the roofline while the crew is already up there.
What happens to the contaminated insulation
Insulation an animal has been living in does not get reused. It comes out as part of a crawl space clean out or an attic insulation job, the space gets deodorized and disinfected, and new insulation goes in once the entry points are sealed.
